Capital City Christian Church
Setting Up The Street Sign
Ben (B). You need to flesh this out during the project.
The following is raw information that needs to be organized and made useable for others that were not privy to the process and events.
The sign itself was installed by FastSign out of Lexington. (Is that correct?)
They provided us with the antenna matching the one on the sign itself. I placed it in the room closest to the sign (southeast corner of the church behind the student center. I placed it so they have line-of-sight to one another. I also installed a small switch there to plug the antenna into. From there a line will be run from that small switch across the three back rooms where I will place a second small switch and one of our Mesh routers. From there I will run a line along the will (with several other cables to the student center tech booth and plug into the main switch there. That will put everything onto our LAN allowing staff to manage the sign from any place in the building.
In the meantime, I am running a long cable from that small switch into which the antenna is plugged, across the student center floor to the student center tech booth switch. This allows us to manage the sign immediately. This is a very short-term solution.

On most networks we find minimal configuration is needed and the signs are plug and play. Network Traffic for the sign needs to be opened to our Main Server Address.
The above address resolves to the following IP: Cloud Server IP: 52.55.59.119
