Note that the Engenuis WiFi network is being decommissioned as time allows. First a Linksys router is setup to take the place of an old AP(s) and extend the coverage area, then the old AP id taken down.

This material has to do with the Linksys model MX4200 WiFi Mesh Router network.

The initial router is the one located in the Student Center on the Tech desk.

Setting up a new node

1. Disconnect the router from power and the network (switch)
2. Connect the 'Internet' port on the router to the switch
3. Connect the power
4. Wait until the LED on the top of the router turns solid purple
5. Then open the Linksys app on your phone
6. Select the 'more' icon at the top right and scroll down to 'add a new node' and select that
7. Follow the instructions. Several steps may take several minutes each to complete. So let each run until it is finished, or reports a problem.
