Once the computer that will send graphics to the screen, such as peoples titles, text, whatever you want in the stream is on and sending something, you need to 'set the key' before airing.
At the computer that runs the AV applications, (pw 3735) go to the 'Chrome' tab and click it. Just below that tab the is a very small clickable button labeled 'Chrome Sample'. Check that button and immediately below that a small black window will open with a large white dot inside of it.
Inside that small window click&drag the white button around until you find a spot where it is entirely sitting on the color you want filtered out. Almost always, green.
Once the white dot is on the color you want filtered, you will see that color just above that little window to the left of the 'Preview' button.
It is not necessary to preview the filtering, but you can.
Once you are satisfied that the correct color has been selected for sampling, click the tiny 'Chrome Sample' button to turn it off. When you do this, the small window you were just working with is vanish.
Finally, to the left of where you have been working there are several clusters of square buttons (mostly white). In the first cluster, on its top row and at the far left is a button labeled 'On Air'. Click that button. With that button pressed/on and colored red, anything that is sent from the ATEM will have the filter applied as the stream flows out.
Over on the ATEM at the top right there is a cluster of 6 buttons. In that cluster the furthest to the left on both the top and bottom rows, and labeled 'Key', are the buttons for turning the filtering (green screening) off and on.
You can set the 'Key' 'On' or 'Off' as you like in order to control when the stream is filtering out the green or not. That is, when you want the overlapped graphic/text displayed in the stream or not.
When | |
On the cameras you want to set the iso setting (top of dial) so that you have the approx picture you want, but then go into WB (White Balance) and set it to 4000. This is true of both cameras. This will configure both cameras to looks reasonably identical as far as brightness is concerned.
The hosts (computers) should be wired to the network. If there is no activity on the NIC LEDs, first try re-seating the cable ends. Then seem to be sensitive. Re-seating the cable is a good idea for the other cables like HDMI if they seem to be dead.
You can set the KEY on either the application or the ATEM. If you start using both, they will compete and set it to the opposite of the other button. So, turn KEY on either in the app of the ATEM.
