Mission Statement

The Capital City Christian Church has a primary mission. Everything done with the data network is to support that mission and those who work to accomplish it. This includes the responsible use of funds and resources.

Christ-Driven, 24/7
Capital City Christian Church is a place where God builds "Christ-Driven, 24/7" Jesus followers. Capital City builds people who follow Jesus by encouraging them to worship, connect, grow and serve together. We strive to reflect the love of Jesus by being a place of 100% truth and 100% grace.

Worship // CONNECT // Grow // Serve (together)

We believe God calls us to a deeper life, beyond an hour a week. To become Christ-Driven, 24/7 Jesus followers, we must be in a relationship with Him by spending time worshiping passionately, connecting and serving faithfully while growing spiritually. We challenge everyone from our youngest CapCity Kids to our oldest adults to spend time doing all of these things.

So how does Tech fit in?

With the way our society has grown to depend so pervasively online digital technology, the church must also leverage digital technology in order to reach more people, the ways they are accustom to, and expect to connect.

We need to extend 'church community/family' beyond the physical walls and out into the digitally interconnected community of the Internet.

Online, email, texting, amazon, social media, facebook, youtube and so on are the ways that people today participate in much of normal life and interpersonal relationships. Digital cannot replace in-person, but it is the best available way to connect with most people in our society and the world.

Over time that list will change as new things are added and others occasionally removed.

There are also many people who for a variety of legitimate reasons cannot attend church personally. They represent a group of people who have slipped thru the cracks of the brick-and-mortar church. Online is the best way to reach them and include them.

Tech work at the church is all about creating and maintaining the best digital environment for our pursuing our primary mission of 'dragging each other to heaven'.

Ben, Pickup Here

We design and construct a network infrastructure that is stable, manageable, that meets the current expectations and needs of our mission, and that is extensible in that it can quickly be modified or expanded to successfully accommodate new uses as they are imagined and implemented.

We create the environment where the ministries that interact directly with people are able to adjust, improve, re-imagine their efforts. We maintain the environment where people throughout the world can be encouraged and assisted in starting and developing a personal relationship with Jesus.

We empower the hand-on ministers to extend, refine, and adjust their efforts so they can accomplish the most and best they can. For example, a incredible sermon can be written. But as long as it remains only on paper its reach and effectiveness is limited. Present that sermon in a large facility and more people can hear it and benefit. Stream that sermon to several social media environments and a much larger number of people can watch it, and they can watch it live and into the foreseeable future (the long-tail effect).
